I need some help, I have an 89 XJ and i am not that knowledged in electrical work. Everytime i turn on the radio or use my power windows all my gauges will flutter. I know everything is fine, but the guages arent reading right. My battery guage will read 9 volts when i know the battery is at 14 volts. Same with my oil pressure guage. that is off too. Also, my starter will engage randomly as well. I think it may be the starter relay but it checked it and it seems to be fine. I have no idea what is going on and repair shops by me charge way too much when i know its probly something easy. I could really use the help THx.

check all the grounds, especially the one that goes from the head to the firewall. I would also suggest running a good sized (4 GA or larger) from the battery to the fender.

I looked at all my grounds and they were good. Some were covered in oil and dirt so i cleaned them, but i am still having the same problems. Some of my fusable links going to my starter relay look bad so im gonna try those.
