It looks like we will have folks for at least Sat. not sure about Sunday. Also the level will be in the area of blue 1's & 2's. John's willing to lead the way, he's got a winch as well as I so we will have at least two. I'm bringing the wife and 3yr old boy so if ya got em bring em.

I'll be heading down from Binghamton NY area so if anyone else heads south on 81 we can meet somewhere and roll together.

It looks like we've got.

Gabe,

Myself and a few from Jersey are driving out for that weekend also to meet up with folks from Rochester. Not sure what they all are running, but I looking to run some blues.

I'll post as I know more.

Cool. looks like we might have enough for a couple groups, maybe different levels.Unless your club won't allow non-members to wheel with them.

Nah, we're cool with wheeling with others. Its a laid back bunch. I'll talk to them and update the head count. Updates to follow.

You guys are killing me. My Jeep went under the knife two weeks after Nac-Fest and I am getting close to getting the HPD44 done, but am waiting on parts. Still need a tie-rod (don't have it yet) and need to do the rear gears (have the gears, but it is d@mm hard to move it without a tie rod!). I don't have the Hydraulic Asst done yet either...and my wife is due mid-August.

Have fun, I hope to get out again sometime in October.

I would think so. Cave76 isn't a formal club. If I can put my Jeep back together in time (it's getting some new axles, finally), I'd love to do some trails with you NAXJA guys on Saturday.

As much as I hate to say this, I'm not going to be able to make this run. My Jeep only has one axle under it at the moment, and I just don't think that I'l be able to install my new front axle, remove and replace my rear axle, and put all the brakes back together. That, and finances are really tight for me right now. I still haven't paid off my NAC-fest trip. You guys have a good time without me.

hey mambeu numbah 5... i have the exact same things as you to do it seems like... lets have a race!

yup thats right, the heep currently has no axles under it, and it seems like my 44 wont be geared till friday morning, and it needs brakes and hard lines...

cutting it close???

OH BTW!! anyone have any spare d30 shafts... i am almost gonna guarantee a break, and i have no spares.

Yeah, new axles right before NACfest was real fun. I managed to squeeze in 300 miles of break in time and swapped in some fresh gear oil right before heading down. If I hadn't I probably would have toasted my new gears on the trip down...

And lunchbox, I broke a 297 joint on the first morning I was down there on 30" tires. I didn't think it would be a problem for me, man was I wrong. I would go and buy some spares since you say you're going to be on 35's. Luckily lobsterdmb had that spare that I borrowed, but I don't like having to rely on others for something that I should have prepaired for. Just my $.02.

yup, thats how im gonna be rolling in... i just hope that 1 full set of front spares will be enough.

also oh boy.. got the front in today - the steering. the rear will officially be ready to go in the truck friday after lunch... with no brakes. that gives me friday afternnoon to get a rear end in with all new brakes, and break it in.

edit: wish me luck!

Yeah, just made it back myself. My jury-rigged exhaust held out until I crossed the Delaware and that crap section of I78 right there shook it apart again. Got it back together and had no more issues the last 8 miles.

Had a good time with you guys, and look forward to the next run (dependent upon how quickly Borla honors their warrantee).

i didnt take any pics or vid this time, sorry...... mike, glad to hear you made it home without too much trouble.
i took that tire off the rim this morning, patched it from the inside, glued it up some more, and wheeled on it for some of today. then i made the mistake of trying to drive home on it. I got about 10 miles down 81 before it blew. wasn't too bad, the tire is still OK. I changed out the rear 2 for 31s on the side of the interstate. i was thankful for my impact wrench! I made it home fine after that, but i definately looked freaky with the front tires bigger and sticking out way more than the rears haha. oh well. i should be able to buy 1 new AT and fix the injured one to use as a trail only spare. Thanks again everyone, had a great time. See you all soon

Well... i didn't break anything. Lucky i guess, but that OX lcker worked soooo well once i got the cable adjusted to length. it was a lifesaver and a half! i am pretty sure with my setup if i had some kind of positive traction device for the front, i would go anywhere.

edit: i was on 3 wheels a couple times, and on 2 wheels once. (almost pulled a H1 on the RTI ramp while posing on a rock.)

PS. sorry to hear about the tire jon... when i get a 35" spare you can have my spare to replace the busted one.

PPS. any word on keith's jeep? hydrolocked or the starter just f'd?

I think the only one taking pic's was Rob's Dad, so next time those wanting to see what's going on, have to SHOW UP AND WHEEL. Mike and Jon glad you both made it back home in one piece well almost anyway.

It was a good trip weather was nice, Nathan behaved as well did Patty, and Melissia showed us her legs.

True, I didn't see any other cameras. He got a lot of scenery, but did get some of the rigs in my group (Lobster, Mike, John, Gabe). I'll be sending a copy of them to Lobster so he can pick a few to post.

Definitely had a good time, and I'm glad to see that everyone made it home.

hey i talked to keith. He said it was just the starter so packed with mud that it wouldnt start. they trailered it home and cleaned out the starter somehow. He was then going to change out all the fluids and wash the rig up a lot. don't worry abotu the spare lunchbox, i am going to just go to a tire place, buy a new 32 and have them patch up the bad one for use as a "trail only" spare. It kinda sucks, but at least then i'll have 5 good tires and all. I'm going to mount them on my wagon wheels tonight, i'll post up some pics when i get all 4 of them on there! well now i gotta spend a few hours cleaning it...
