I recently put a new fuel pump module in my '99 (one of the $110 ebay units).
While trying to diagnose a intermittent no start condition, I tested the fuel pressure at the rail. It fluctuates from 77-80 PSI. This seems too high - my 98 tests at 45 PSI.
Will this cause problems? Is it most likely due to the regulator on top of the module?
By the way, the pump is quite noisy - high pitched whine.
