What are the deepest gears that a stock mj/xj came out of the factory with? I have an xj 44 i will regear 4.56, thought i could save some money with a junkyard hp30, maybe with 4.56 gears. thanks for the help fellas

Apparently you could get 4.56's as a factory option on some older models, but it's very, very, very rare.
The lowest you'll probably find are 4.10's.

If my memory serves correctly, 4.10 were in the 4 banger with manual tranny. I have excellent memory, its just very short.

4:56 was 4cyl, auto, towing package if I remember correctly-
but I could be wrong (I have been before)

4.10 usually not in the manual-it usually had 3.73. The auto usually came with the 4.10, but I have heard of some rare ones with 4.56...but never seen it myself.
