The tranny in my 88 XJ is startin to act up and i din't like it before anyway. I was wandering if it was possible to replace it with a different type of trany then the one that came in it any help would be apreciated

The AX15 should be a bolt-in affair; it's dimensions are damn near exact, and with just a few mods it won't be much extra $$ to drop in.

Either JP or Peterson's magazine did an article on replacing the BA-10 with the AX15 a short while ago. Does anyone here remember which month?
