Rubbing up front.

Hey guys, been looking around the site for a while now, finally decided to post. I have gotten a lot of valuable information from everyone thank you verry much. I recently lifted the front of my xj, will do the back as soon as I find some time. I put in some ford coil springs along with some daystar spacers. I was able to add 32's, on my stock rims, but now I have some rubbing at full lock. When I look at it, it seems as if it is rubbing on the sway bar and on the coil spring:huh: I'm not really sure how to fix this without getting some rims with more backspacing, which I don't really want to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Here are some pics, thanks in advance.

p.s. not really sure how to post the pics, sorry.

Try adding shims (washers) behind the steering stop bolts (actually behind the welded on nuts) on the knuckles,I know there is a thread about this somewhere on the forum - simple fix for rubbing, mine were hitting the LCAs when I had stock rims and this cured it.

Crager soft 8's Good looking rim, and will have much better backspace. Also probably the best price you'll be able to find (maybe even used) Summit racing $36.00 ea. and free shipping!!!

So for all of those guys runnig the soft 8's what is the backspacing on them? and what is the backspacing on the stock rims, don't know if anyone knows, just curious.

4" on the Soft 8s and 5.25" on the factory.

ditch the sway bars and go coil overs or airshocks!!

If you're hitting your coils, steering shims aren't gonna change that.

For a guy not wanting to spend money on new wheels, a suggestion of coilovers and airshocks seems like a less than ideal thing... :dunno:
