i drive a 98 Xj 4.0 in it and it died out 2 days ago and when i try to start it it sounds like im not getting any gas to the engine, so i am wondering if my fuel filters might be plugged, so if any body could possibly tell me where those are located that would be awsome.

thnx

In the gas tank. If you turn your key to the accessory position, you should hear the pump start up in the back. If you hear nothing then that may be your problem. I'd do a little more diagnosing before dropping the tank however.

filter is inside of the frame rail behind the driver's side rear wheel

Not in '98...I think OBDII affected this...or it might be the 97+ change...either way my 99 is IN the tank too. It is part of the fuel pump assembly. I NEVER want to replace it!

Doesn't no spark and no fuel sound the same when you crank the engine. I think you need a little more diagnosis.
