thats bizarre. Whats stopping from anyone stealing his truck parts before signing his agreement? I would have not disclosed location until said person signs my agreement....

i think whats stopping them is its off the side of a dropoff cliff, it would be pretty tough to hike out with a v10 or even one of those subs for that matter. what im wondering is if its only 1000 to get the thing airlifted, why wont he just pay that instead of the 2000 to the state, then sell off what he can to recoup some of the dough? even a totaled r/t truck has to be work at least 5 grand i would think?

His insurance company has to get it, or they inherit the bill from the state. If they paid him, they own that truck.

It doesn't matter that he disclosed it...... cause it is a frigg'n STEEP mountain side.... search Palms to Pine Hwy. or G. Earth Palm Desert then go south on Hwy. 74 you'll see the Hwy. switch'n back & forth up the Mtn.

In all my years I have never heard of salvage company that uses helicopters to recover autos. I have heard of heavy lifts used to recover large machinery but not autos.
Sounds like a scam....or :dunno:

That's just a few miles up the road from me. I could rappel down to it and check it out. If there's a trail that comes close to it maybe one could hook up to it and just drag it down the hill. The body would already be thrashed anyway. Just a thought.
