Need to replace the bushings in my driverside lower control arm. But last time I tried, the mini drill press with a lack of vise didn't quite do it...So, if anyone is near here and has better equipment, lemme know, I can supply pizza and/or beer...

Well since there's no chance the engine will be done (damn Exchange servers!) what I need to do is get that M416 registered so I can bring it on it's first run.
Other than that I'm good to go, will be a slow drive up the mountain and probably warm (Damn thing heats up on grades, that problem will be corrected when I change out the engine and radator!)
The question is though... Should I make more sour mix :firedevil

install detroit and 5:38's and clearance some (the rest after BB) of the lower lip
Rockjock 60 front-
layout front housing and cut tubes to length
install inner C's
measure for correct length inner axles and order them and hope to get them in time
install ARB and 5:38's
install lower CA brackets that also are spring pads and shock mounts
Fab upper CA mounts for johnny Joints
Fab Trackbar mount
install the full outer assembly on the 60 and rebuilt kingpins
fab up high steer setup
Shorten front driveshaft
set rear bumpstops
convert A/C to OBA and plumb all the lines, oiler, filter, regulators etc.
remove tranny pan and install new one.
Hope that 1ton front dual piston and rear 3/4ton calipers will function with my current WJ brake booster and MC.
and I am sure lots of smaller crap I havent expected yet

Me: Trac-bar mount, u-bolt fix, rock-rails (already ordered), winch bumper and the new 12,000 lb winch, 33 inch tires/wheels, HOPEFULLY a D44 with gears/lockers (yea, right), install the new TPS i got so that the Jeep doesn't idle at 150 RPM or 3500 RPM (depending on it's mood), fix my CB antenna since it seems to whip around more than I like, then just pretty much tidy up and top off fluids. Anyone want me to bring my 110v welder up just in case?

did I inspire this project from my breakdown at claw? :)close, but it is from my climbing hills and the fule pump not keeping up with the four barrel, and in the sand or on the race to the trails ( besides it leaks oil and i think the diaphram is gone )

You do have to use some washers to space it out about 3/16-1/4", but that's it. So far so good for me.

I would really like to make this trip and only have a few things to get done...
-Buy and install taller coils (need 3" coil, trying to get rid of spacers)
-Buy and install LCA's (fixed)
-Buy and install new shocks all the way around (to supplement a 3" lift)
That's pretty much it. Does anyone happen to have any of the above listed items that I could purchase?
Any help would be awesome. I definitely don't care if they are used items.:looney:

Make a reservation at hotel, and an appointment with a massage therapist for after trail adjustments to my old body!
Okay, the wife is coming with this time and has no interest in the tent thing.
She wants to cruise around town while we are out on the trail..I would take the RV but gas is $3.59 a gallon...the hotel is probably cheaper!!:bawl:
Other than that....:dunno:
I still have yet to build any bumpstops...the wheel wells work fine for that..:D
Find a case of Fat Tire and I'm on my way.

Finished some, and really feeling good till I started the engine to test the compressor and found thats somehow after just sitting in my garage in 70deg average temp and not running now the radiator sprung a leak, good sized too. ugg. So ordered a better radiator for 90$ and have to work the old one out and new one in, before also..
Anyone handy with a wrench and either knows how to swap out a MC, tranny pan and radiator or takes directions well, and needs a seat to occupy on a few runs, both day and night runs guarantee'd to happen?

Got new springs in.
Rear is completely done, diff fluid checked, everything tight and greased!
Front - springs are in, trac bar, steering, and LCA are all disconnected... I should finish it tomorrow evening or Monday night...
Rock rails will go on on Tues or Wed evening
Things that will not be done before I go:
sway bar mounts
OTK steering
brakes - maybe just get slotted rotors and new pads (???)
Changed my mind on the shocks
Axle seal will be done later to.. it's not leaking bad, just seeping...

The heat up here in Santa Clarita is making it hard to get things done...
I washed the heep last weekend.
The inside's getting vacuumed now and the seats cleaned
The sleeping bags should get washed next
When the temp drops a little later, I'll clean the tent
Then scrub some coolers
Then some of Tuesday and most of Thursday getting packed...

Well I repaired the front ARB line and wrestled that exhaust I got from Richard into place (I had to do some careful modifications, ie some angle grinder work, hammer work, and Benzomatic welding).
Got the 416 loaded up, just gotta do the tail lights on that (simple wiring).
