What type of paint do I have, laquer. acrylic or synthetic enamal

I want to paint it and get the right type of paint and primer to overcoat my old existing paint. She is a 1990, 4 Door with what I believe is Black Cherry Paint. The paint code on the plate does not match the FSM listing, as the plate says PM9 and the book says FM9 - Black Cherry but its the only color that makes any sense and mabe the book had a typo. Anyone know that it would be, Acrylic paint, Synthetic Enamel, or Laquer, I want to paint it with Laquer so hopefully it will be the same.
