Shims which way do they go???

I am installing the RE3.5 and dont know which way to postion the shims. I know this is a newbie question i have looked and dont know

the thinner end should be facing the front.the thicker end should be in the rear of the perch. the end result should tilt the pinion upward

You put them in the direction needed.If its a stock driveshaft,they may need to be "fat" end towards the front.If you have a SYE kit,then most likely they will be "fat" end towards the back.With that lift you may not need them at all!

with a 3.5 u really dont need them at all.
