Okay ran into a snag not much of one but still..... I was putting my new wheels on today and see that only about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of the studs are showing when going to put the lug nuts on...... Did anyone run into this problem? Will I need to get different lug nuts, that go inside? The box from AR says 5x4.5 for the pattern. Just wanting some info and see if anyone else ran into this before and what they did, or if it is safe to drive with them like that it looks like they are grabbing about 7-8 threads when put on. Thanks in advance!

You need acorn style lug nuts.. just run over to Discount tire and pick up a set for the wheels..

The 16 x 8 ar baja’s I bought had a center section over 1” thick. I installed longer studs to get longer engagement back. Then when I went back to steelies with pressed centers the studs now stick way out but I use gorilla locksets that are capable of over 1 ˝” thread engagement so it worked out for the better.

All ar baja’s have conical seats afaik. http://www.dakotacom.net/~jeepster/tipshades.gif
