Iran is all put out that Britain went to the international community to secure release of the hostages. They feel that Britain did not respect Iran's thousands of years of civilization.

More like thousands of years of in-fighting, backstabbing, murder and mayhem. I tell my 11yo son: "If you want the respect due an 11 year old, quit acting like a 6 year old." Grow up Iran. You got off easy.

Oh, yeah. Welcome home!

But did you see the video where they had to parade up to that little pric* and shake his hand before leaving? All while their media interviewed?

Wonder how many of them wanted to kick him in the b*lls...

I have got to think that some little birdie landed on the shoulder of some obscure Iranian diplomat, close to Ahmed, and let it slip that he wouldn't be around much longer if the soldiers werent released.

They let him save face, and let him keep a face to save.

I'd have let the lady soldier have the first shot on that one;)

Welcome home lads!, and lassie. As a big balled yank once said. "speak softly and carry a big stick" Tony B. is a big friend of the US at his own political expense. Balls are not the issue. For the Iranians to push too far is to have SAS guys start showing up. As Ronnie once said. "You can't argue with success"

haha....at first I thought you were talking about our beloved naxja member Vince and his wife Rachel.

But then I remembered they are still in Moab enjoying the EJS.

The CO of that frigate should be removed, that SOB let them hang out to dry and the XO should be reprimanded for not relieving him. Those revolutionary guards should not have gotten within a 1000 yards of the operation let alone been able to surround them. Heard someone mention the water was too shallow and the CO was afraid of grounding, well, maybe it's time the brits pulled those four littoral combat ships out of storage and move em where they are needed...
I know he'll be replaced, probably the whole command structure, what crew would ever trust them again...
Glad they are back home safe and sound and that they did what they had to do to get out in one piece.
