1398 code?

This morning it started throwing 1398. The code means:

1398 I can see the Crank Sensor's signal when I prepare for Misfire Diagnostics. Try replacing it.

This sensor is rather new. I've had it in for maybe 2 years and not that many miles (this is mainly a weekend/vacation rig). It is mostly parked and up until a Friday a week ago it's been sitting for over a month. Today I drove it again and it threw the code. I reset it once and it threw it again. I'm going to go look at the wires now and pull it and replug it: I'm hoping that will do it, or at least buy me some time as I want to take the rig out tomorrow and I don't have the time to replace it before than.

Any other thoughts/suggestions?
