Stuff that's dumb but cool....

so when I bought my XJ it didn't have a tailpipe from the muffler back. Sounded kinda throaty so I left it for a while. Well I got pulled over with a warning about it and went to the wrecker, got the tailpipe. Welded it on. Went for a drive.... the dumb part you ask?

Turns out what I thought was a driveline vibration was actually the exhaust note resonating off the underside of the body! No more "woob wooob wooob" down the highway!!!! I'm tho happy!!! Just wanted to share my stupidity lol

I have a friend that experienced the same thing. He his was worse because he didn't even have a muffler or cat, it was really loud and it vibrated the jeep a lot.
