Fellow wheelers,

On Sunday 3/25, Myself and Mikey [Lostamigo] went to Florence Junction to shake down our rigs. Left our tow rigs parked right of Cottonwood Canyon Road about 1/2 mile past the cattle guard. When we returned to the trucks ~ 1:30 pm we found that someone had smashed windows on both our trucks and taken a couple hundred $$ worth of tools and a cell phone..... http://www.virtualjeepclub.com/images/smilies/mad.gif

From the tire tracks left at the scene, it appeared to be a couple of quads and one of those mini sub-50cc bikes.

The only good thing was that they could have taken much more than they did. More tools, CD players, etc......

This sux. My sense of security and my windows are shattered!

that really sucks i saw those trucks when we went trough there !i feel sorry for those guy i know what it feels like to have your tools stolen ,and to break there windows ! that feeling is almost like being raped/violated !well maybe not that bad but close ..

A few weeks ago I ran with a group that parked their tow rigs at the Price Rd entrance off 79. Right as we were about to head out, the Florence PD rolled up and very highly recommended they move their tow rigs in about 1/2 mile down Price Rd. He said they've had a lot of break in's in vehicles parked right off the highway. Mentioned it's the crack and meth heads looking for some easy stuff to pawn. They are trying to patrol the area to catch the perps but only have so much staff.
