Can anybody give me some advise for installing power steering on a 1986 XJ? Might be buying on and it doesn't have ps. How much work and $ would I be looing at?

No factory power steering, or it just doesn't work?

1986 was the 2.8 V6 I believe. You'd have to find at LEAST a pump, lines, and steering box from another 84-86 V6 XJ. Not sure what else you'd need, I didn't know any XJ's came without factory PS.

Haven't looked at it yet, seller told me it does not have power sterring, never has had it.

It's a 4cyl not the V6 5 speed. Looks like I'm going to be able to get it CHEAP but will most certainly put power steering into it.
