cb radio

I just got a cb radio and hooked it up and i think there is a problem but i am not sure. I can watch my signal gauge move with the radio but its on its own curcuit. the antena runs next to the signal wire for my amp but I am not sure if it would affect it that much. is there anything else that could be wrong?

Your coax needs to be as far away from high amp wiring or anything that transmits an RF signal. I know, easier said than done. Just do the best you can.

Yes, you should keep the cb wires seperate from the stereo wires as much as possible. You will also need to check that the antenna is tuned to the radio. Go to www.firestik.com and read the tech section on SWR.
