tranny lower cooler line stuck

replacing radiator right this minute and canr get the lower tranny cooler line off?? how do I get er off? 98 XJ 4.0 thanks!

i had the same problem on my '01

i ended hacksawing the tube off the radiator, then got a fuel line disconnect tool from the HELP! section of Autozone (little plastic piece)

I took some force and frustration but i was finally able to jam the tool far enough in the tranny line to release the metal ears and pulled the end of the metal line out

this was after i played with it for 30 minutes with a bunch of different tools trying to release it, i couldn't get anything to work

How'd you reconnect the line?

still havent got it no parts store open ?? SOXJ SOXJ...........

I used a small screwdriver to pop two of the tabs and then kinda bent the tube the opposite way then did the other side. Was really hard to do. Ive never tried the helper tool but have done it twice w/the screwdriver.
