idling high all the time???

when i start my xj its been idling at 2000, goes down a bit when im driving but it always really high and i dont know what is wrong with it..i cleaned my iac didnt do anything..not sure what to do????

Check all vacuum lines for leaks.

Had a similar problem check MAT sensor, & coolant temp sensor

What year is it?

Any kind of vacuum leaks raise the idle. Poor grounds raise the idle. Check the ground wire connectors at the engine block near the oil dip stick.

Lots of how to threads oin this problem already here, search under:

"high idle" and should find them. Also add the words "ground Vacuum" to help narrow the search at some point.
