Asheville Trails

Anyone know of any trails around the asheville area that isn't private property?

Head down I-40 into the Pigeon River Gorge...lots of decent trails, I posted the start point for Hurricane Creek rd in the places to wheel section on the top here.

Ivestor gap road run off the BRP and should be up for its seasonal opening soon. I have not been up there in many years but will be going once it opens.

I think Ivestor gap trail opens the first weekend
in august.

Where is Ivester Gap? Why does it open so late in the year?
