i know the tcases are different. but i want to use a 242 as my range box. i bought the kit for a 231. are there any differences besides the spline count in the front half of the case?

np242 -vs- np231 for dual cases

They are quite different. I have removed the 242 out of mine and did bolt in a 231 direct though. I had no issues and didn't even have to adjust linkage. I don't think your going to run into issues
