How much ATF?

I am swapping AW4 transmissions. I drained the "new" one and drained the TC over a bucket for an hour. Anybody have any rough idea how much ATF to put in to start with, until I can check it running?

Get a case. As I recall, "full fill" on the AW4 (including torque converter) is 11 quarts ("service fill" is four,) so a case should be just about right.

Of course, I may have that wrong - it might also be 13 - but the AW4 can run a quart low for a little while (don't ask how I know...)
