dana 30 gear install

ok i got everything off i can think of to get the rung gear and assembly out of the diff. axel shafts are out and bearing retainer clips are off. like i read elsewhere it says "need to get a pry bar and stick it in under the gears using the housing as leverage and beat it out with a hammer." ok i tried that. its out half way and will not come out all the way... any suggestions?

Pry harder. If you have a brass hammer, or a big brass punch, hit the carrier some to help it along.

It may take a chain or cable wrapped around the carrier to yank it out.

there is also a case spreader that you can buy/build. Just don't leave it on there for any extended period of time cause the case will be deformed.

Run a rag between the ring and pinion

there is also a wrench trick, put the closed end on the ring bolt and you can get leverage that way.
