power door locks seem frozen?

Already searched. No posts with these symptoms.

Not frozen from weather. Yesterday the pwr locks stopped working on my 98 classic. All lights and power windows work. Will check fuses today. Any other ideas?

Perhaps a severed wire? Or a bad switch

Do they unlock from the pass side ( door)? Prob the switch.

The "lock out" button for the door locks often seems to be the culprit in the later year model XJ's. Simple test is to by pass the switch to see if you regain door lock function.

If its the lock out switch, you can leave the bypass wire in place and lose use of your lock out switch, or replace the entire door switch / window control assembly....
