Wow... I've always wanted to take my Jeep north of the arctic circle. Its been to the tropic of cancer so I figured that should be next. Damn sounds cold though.

I took my 81 XS1100LH to the artic circle in 81, went up thru canada to james bay. Talk about back roads and buying fuel from farms and such. It just did not have the range to complete the trip on a tank of gas, even carrying a an extra 2 2.5 gallon jugs. First time I ever saw a live moose before, man those things are big...and agressive too...

Seriously. In the XJ, with heater cranked up full blast and probably a jacket on. The XJ heater gets warm enough to cook a chicken I think. I am a wuss when it comes to cold temperatures. :shiver:

i wish my heater worked... it brings the temp up from 10degrees to about 30-40 degrees after about 20-30mins of driving then stays at that for the remainder

My heater in my '99 XJ works better and gets hotter than the heater in my mom's brand new toyota highlander.
