I searched and found all of these seal part numbers for the
disco axle to the non-disco axle conversion.
Which ones are correct????????

I'm upgrading to the larger u-joints and the one piece pass. axle.
Different people are coming up with diff. #'s.

I have a 87 XJ.
Here is all the #'s I found searching.
#471763
#40576S
#CR13165
#42500 Driver side I think
#4874477 Driver side again I think
#CR11800
#CR11771 Driver side again I think

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance!

Thank you.
But again these are diff. from all the ones I found so far.
Did you put the one piece axle in yours?

These are the part numbers I have. Not sure what each one is , but they should both be the two you need.

Sierra 11343
Spicer 46470

I used the National 40576S seal. I chamfered the inside edge of the passenger tube to make it easier to get the seal started squarely.

Do I need two seals for the pass. side.?
One at the carrier housing & one to replace the original seal located
by the shift fork housing, wheel side.
There is a bearing in the shift fork housing ( carrier side )does it stay?

And if you put a seal in the carrier housing how does the bearing
get lubricated or does it need to?

Althought the "kit" that you can order from Warn comes with two seals, you only need the one installed at the carrier. You don't need to remove the bearing for stock D30 shafts. Once you upgrade to alloys however they are made from Dana 44 stock (1.31 inch versus 1.16), at least my Yukons were, so you'll have to remove it then.

Thanks!

One by the carrier bearings like the drivers side &
one where the original seal is located.( shift fork housing area ).
I'm sorry for being so much trouble but I'm doing the swap this weekend.
Still not positive which seal or seals to buy,If I have to I guess I'll
get several diff. ones.

So the bearing will not get lubricated?
Is that okay for it?

I had some big o-rings that were at the carrier housing and
one in front of the seal that is by the fork housing.
Is that right for them to be there? I cannot find the replacement #
for them.

You only need one seal, in the axle tube right behind the carrier bearing on the passenger side (just like the driver). You can remove the big seals at the shift fork area as they are no longer needed. I would remove the bearing as well. I think a stock axle will clear the bearing but an aftermarket alloy will not so it has to be removed if you are running alloy.

As far as the seals go, you might be wise to pick up a few different ones to make sure they fit. They are all close in size but since that side of the axle tube was never milled for the seal, the thickness of the tube probably slightly varies by axle thus the different part #'s people have used.

Okay,I just picked up the drivers side part #11899 or #710068(same seal)
to replace the drivers side.
And picked up # 471763 and #40576S for the pass. side.I think one of them
should work.

I want to thank the ones that helped me!!!

this was helpful, but how do i install that outer seal into the axle tube? do i need to dremel that out a little to make it fit better? how do i get it in there squarely without tearing it up or getting it crooked? i've run for about a week without that seal, and my junk is leaking pretty bad.
