:) You have to be 18..
Yeah sure you do... Two words: Tracy Lords.
A better way to phrase it would be: You must have two forms of government issued ID that prove that you are at least 18 years of age. In all seriousness, the adult industry does its very best to police itself and to never knowingly hire anyone underage. Frankly, the risks aren't worth it. There are too many girls of age (who look younger than 18) for a producer to take a chance on anybody who can't prove they are at least 18.
Before I retired I was in show biz. Worked as a union stagehand in legit theater and network television. Think Dorthy Chadler Pavilion and similar theaters in Los Angeles County. Was assistant Prop Master on Price is Right, Match Game and many, many other productions for CBS, NBC, etc..
In 1982, I began a 23 year career in the adult entertainment industry, first as a duplicator and then a location stage manager and finally a video tape editor. I owned my own company for the last 15 years, retiring in 2005.
I had the ultimate Dirty Job and one that Mike Rowe will never be able to show on the Discovery Channel... making porn movies.
I even have a listing on the Internet Movie Database under my nom de porn, S. Andrew Roberts (http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0731557/). Oddly enough, out of the more than 700 movies I edited in my career they only list three. Go figure!

I am a sales and marketing manager.
The company I work for manufactures webbing and braided products. I work for the value added division which takes the nylon webbing and makes dog collars, leashes and harnesses. We recently bought a company that manufactures surfboard bags, roof pads and soft racks. So basically I drive around Southern California in my XJ visiting pet stores and surf board shops and get paid for it.
We also do private label manufacturing for a company that sells accessories for Rhinos. We make soft tops, door nets, grab handles etc for them.
And soon (if I have anything to do with it!!) we will introduce a cargo barrier net for XJ's which will mount vertically behind the rear seat. They will prevent items in the rear from becoming potentially hazardous flying projectiles in case of roll over. The construction is similar to Nascar window nets. More details coming (probably not real soon tho).

Yeah, I remember. My sympathies!
A simple mod can turn those cattle haulers into very useful vehicles. Take a gallon of red paint and put a bullseye on the side, have them towed out into the middle of nowhere, and blast the sh!t out of them! When they are adequately perforated, you can use them as planters.

You know, that here in CA, we don't say how far we live or drive in miles? we say how long it takes in time...
I though it was wierd when I first got out here over 12 years ago. But now, it's just normal....
For example, I live about 8 miles from work. BUT, I live 25 minutes from work...
As for wheeling, well, it's more than hour and a half, but less than 100 miles...

I have a job that is sure to rile some people up...
I work on voting machines as an Election Systems Supervisor for local county government. I do a lot of pc maintenance, training and graphic design too.
And no, the voting machines aren't rigged, at least I don't know how and I hit 18 years in September, and I am familiar with 5 voting systems. The CIA killed Kennedy, and we never landed on the moon if you believe that crap. Please don't hasta .
It's a cool job. Some outside, some inside, and a lot of variety.

Nothing at the moment, my last job bitched me out for not answering a call while I was on call because I was in the shower for 20 min... I told them to shove the job up their ass. Funny thing is they refused to pay me for on call time.
Anyone hiring in the LA Area?

That job could be hazardous to my health.
I'd stick to Ventura Co. if I were to do law enforcement.
