On-demand disabling of DRL...

I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for.
When driving in fog or heavy rain I would like to rig up a system so I can turn off the DRL and run foglamps and marker lamps only, but be able to have DRL the rest of the time, ie cut a particular wire and run it into the cab to a switch.
Has anyone done this before?
Any ideas?

try applying your parking brake to the first click. Not 100% sure on jeeps, but this was an old trick on chevys to turn them off. As long as parking brake isn't adjusted super tight it works fine. Just check and make sure you still have slack in the cables.
