I can tell you guys really miss him. Its hard not to like a guy who points his finger at you and says, "You cook steak on a rock."

Maybe he got pulled over by the police and was found with a gun and now is at Guantanamo.

What happened to me? Yeah, I bit a bug and it's .45, .40, 30.06, 7.62. 9, 12 :D I'm also fairly actively involved in efforts to promote CCW awareness and recognition in CA. Oh yeah.... and my jeep needs some work, but every time I get some $ aside a new toy makes it's way into my hands (picked up a sweet Kimber not too long ago :D )

Oh yeah... and I"m trying to get the ratio of post count to the number of days registered lowered :D

Ranges scare me nowadays... seems like there are too many idiots that are being let in. Last time I went shooting I went to On Target down in South OC. Nice range, I think I like it more then Firing Line. Also if I take one of their overview classes about rifle safety @ the range I will be able to shoot my rifles there. Granted it's only 75 yards, but if I am doing some work and need to sight it in or test things out after restoring it, it's perfect.

Sigs.... nice firearms... just not my thing though: 1911's are my new intereste :D.
In regards to sigs, I shot a really neat sig 223 the other day though. Tiny thing..... fun to plink with, but it's TINY.

Sig's are terribly over-rated - keep the Kimber.

I did that "gun thing" a number of years ago. About 30 guns (lost most of them in the divorce), reloading supplies, lead casting, etc. Gun safe the size of a decent refrigerator.

183rd in the National Speed Shooting Championship (I think it was 1988).

USPSA/IPSC, handgun silhouette, Steel Challenge, speed plates, etc...

It was fun - I miss it sometimes, but I don't have the time.

My "baby" is a Series 70 Colt Combat Commander that was originally chambered in 38Super that was redone as a 9Major with full comp and all the bells and whistles for combat competition. It was done by Jim Boland.

What a joy to shoot. A total master-piece. Shame Jim died a couple of years ago...

:D oh it goes boom every time. Kimbers had a problem a while ago with the extractors, but their new units work real nice! Trick is since their pretty much hand built and custom fitted, they need to be broken in for things to loosen up. So far I've put close to 1000 rounds through it and no FTE's or FTF's.

Oh yeah... I might be going to Firing Line either next Wed or next Weekend: I'll let you know either way.
