d35 posi carrier what gears?

i have a d35 posi carrier non c-clip type for an 86 but does anyone know how i could tell if it is a 3.55 and up carrier. because i want to put this in
and regear at the same time if it will work?

I think the break is 3.73.

i think 3.55 is the break. but i would call someone like Randys R&P, give them the info from the jeeps involved and they will tell you what you need. factory posi may be a waste of time though. i would go aftermarket, or full locker is even better. unless it's mostly a DD. oh yeah, no one will recommend puttin any money in a d-35.
