Well, I'm no LessLimited but I should be decent at remodeling since I've worked in nearly every room in the entire house in the last year.
I am nearly finished with the nursery for our coming arrival, our daughter. I thought I'd share pics...
Before...

New flooring...

My favorite part, lighting embedded above the crown to provide a gently lighted atmosphere in the middle of the night. It doesn't show in the picture very well though so I included a few with different camera settings. It's not orange or red like the pics show, but soft white light...

Awesome job, the lighting above the molding is awesome. We have a desk lamp in Logan's room, the smallest bulb I could find was 15 watts and it still wakes you up pretty good in the middle of the night.

Now, go get a bunch of dolls, toys and other stuff that hurts when you step on it, and scatter it about the room. Then you will know what it will look like in 1 1/2 - 2 years. :D
Danika........:loveu: I like it. Yours will drive a Jeep though right?
Looks very nice Adam, good work.
I really like the crown lighting. Please splain. What kind of lights did you use? We're going to add on hopefully before too long, that would be great in the master bedroom.
Heres to a smooth and painless delivery.
Best of luck to you and Muffin!

Looks good, Adam!
As I've said many times, the only difference between a professional's job and a mechanically inclined amateur's, is the amount of time it takes to make it look good.
I'm gonna guess it's rope lighting in the crown?

Looks great... I was hoping while looking at the first series of pictures that those were the BEFORE... I was thinking the fish border was really strange for a nursery unless you were planning on having a salmon!! :confused1

Wait till the 3 year old version decides to "redecorate" the walls with a marker because she "wanted to make it pretty."
Stepping on Legos in the dark is worse...
Might as well throw away all DVD and CD cases now, they'll get destroyed anyway.
OME, Rubicon Express, Dana, will be replaced with PBS Kids, Noggin, Sprout, and NickToons. AND, The RED PowerRanger is always the leader!
I prefer Jimmy Neutron as his buddy Sheen is a hoot!!! ULTRA LORD RULES!!!

Any updates?
After I showed my wife the pics of the room, she has asked me three times in the past week if it has an occupant yet.

Actually was born @ 1:47 am Saturday, July 15.
6 lbs 10 oz, 18.5 in long.
Pics to follow...
JohnLL hit the nail on the head with the lighting. Rope light. I wired in an extra outlet behind it and plugged the lights into a remote control unit. I can turn them on and off from anywhere in the house.
Stay tuned.
