Even though its not for an XJ. A guy in my company has a '76 (?) ford f150 and his steering shaft U-joints have alot of play. Its a custom shaft because the truck has a body lift. A replacement is over $200. :helpme:

Are there any shops in the puget sound area who would be able to replace/rebuild just the joints?

I don't know thier Phone number but i had Fleet Pride make my shaft for me. They are located in Tacoma at the downtown side of South Tacoma Way, look them up in the phonebook they should be able to help you.
