NO A/C AFTER ENGINE INSTALL???

1992 xj 4.0 231 aw4 with no power options, but has a/c. I recently put in my rebuilt engine. Everything works great except i cant find the 1 wire that plugs into the a/c compressor.. anybody know what color it is or where it comes from in the engine compartment? I found one wire close to it and plugged it in but that didnt seem to work (compressor doesnt kick on ever). I think that wire was green.

If the wire on the sensor on the dryer isn't connected, the compressor will never kick on.

Is that the one wire coming off of the device run by the serpentine belt? Did i call a dryer a compressor?
