I've got a big project I need help with this weekend (Sat the 10th). There is no reason it shouldn't be completed in just one day. I need a couple people who want to wrench on some big axles and are willing to work for pizza and (root)beer or soda... Let me know if you can help and I'll send ya the details.. I will be in great debt to any who volunteer! :worship: :worship:

Sorry Clint. I have to repaint two bedrooms and the kitchen Saturday. We also have a parade of prospective home buyers coming through that day, and my wife will be gone all afternoon.

I'd really rather look at your axles with a dumb look on my face wondering what to do. Really.

haven't you two ever heard of Disney? See its this company that makes these movies. They aren't real but kids seem to like them.

If you buy enough Disney it will keep kids entertained for hours.

I just want to give a big thanks to everyone who was involved today. It was a bit of work, but it was accomplished with no huge problems.
I especially want to thank Neonrog, his son, and IMwally. Three people I had never met until today and I'm very grateful for their help. Also want to thank Bryon and Ryan for showing up, they were a big help. It couldn't have been done without all the help.

SO the big question is...who is ready come and do it all again, but this time in reverse next week? PLEASEE???

You didn't think he'd tow that new boat with the XJ, did you?

What was wrong with the axles that were in it? Did you decide that the D70/D60 wasn't strong enough, and that a set of rockwells was in order?

j/k

Nice truck, welcome to the CTD family.

Truck had 4.10 gears. Way to low for the ol 12 valve. I was turning 2150 @ 60.. I'm trading axles with someone to get 3.55's. Also, its a 60 front 80 rear :)

So no volunteers for next week??

They must have swithed to a D70 on newer years. I'm fairly certain I have a 70 in my '01.

I may be available next week, I'll let you know.

Just don't mod your truck and it should last awhile..

Sorry, I work on Saturdays and I've got a wedding party to attend that evening.

How much did that truck run ya? I'd like to get a crew or extra cab diesel truck sometime in the next year or so but I'll need to get an older one (mid to late 90s) to save on cash. I want to get a 5th wheel trailer to go camping in next year. :D

I printed the pictures I took of the brakes...then forgot to take them to the shop with me. But after trying for awhile, they came together no problem.
