8.25 c-clip question

The question I have is would it be possiable to not intall the c-clips back in if I am running a ZJ disk brake conversion. Would that be to much stress on the backing plates. I currently have a powertrax no-slip but have plans to run an ARB.

I would put the clips back in.

put the clips in.
If you don't put the clips in the only thig holding the axleshaft in place will be the rotor on the cliper, and the axleshaft will move, and it would eat up the rear pads pretty quickly. Not to mention all the weird loading you'd put on the end of the axle tube.

thats kinda funny, every time you went around a corner the rear tires would skid.
