Guys, I need a bit of help here:
People say that the Instrument Clusters are the same on the 97, 98, 99, 00 & 01. The PCM's are not. So be it!
Recently I've been installing PCM's on my '99 XJ. As soon as I install a '98 or a '97 PCM, the oil pressure gauge on the cluster drops to 20 PSI. I tried this with two diff. instrument clusters (my original '99 and a '00). as soon as I change the PCM, the gauge drops (the rest appears to be working properly, no matter which PCM I use). The engine has absolutely no problem, the rest of the gauges are OK too.
What am I missing here guys? I need some help please
