I saw an add for a Chevy Dana 44 front end for $100. In the picture it looks like a drivers side drop, but from what I've read, chevy's are pass side drop.
Here's the picture

Tell me what ya think? Would this be a good swap?

Its a passenger drop, they have it upside down.

I think the axle's upside down. Looking at a right-side-up D44, the bulge for the ring gear is on the left side of the cover.

Ha, never thought about it being upside down. I'm use to looking at waggoner axles, where the leafs are under the axle. Been looking for a 44 a little to much.
Thanks guys,

I'd let my Ford HP44 go for $100, but the shipping to Oregon wouldn't be worth it for you.
