Hey guys like it says I am having some driveline vibes and noise after installing my SYE, I am thinking its either a bad u joint or the wrong pinion angle in which I will need to install some shims, if so how do I install shims {I really dont know anything about shims}

If you do bolt in shims, remove the u bolts, wedge them in under the centerpin, with the thick side toward the rear. Some shims you just loosen up the the U bolts and hammer in. Go for the other ones, and go steel, not aluminum, IMO. It could be a bad U joint too. It check that out, while your there.

Where do I get shims? I am going to change the ujoint first and then see how it is, but shims are still a good idea

You can get them at your local 4X4 shop, or local spring shop, Rustys sells them, RE sells them, 4wheel parts sells them. Ill give Phil a plug. www.central4wd.com (http://www.central4wd.com)

A good shim will not fit over the head of the centerpin, but will use it as a retainer.
Remove ubolts, clamp springs with c-clamps, remove center pin, insert shim, install center pin, remove c-clamps, install ubolts.
Measure the angle you need with a magnetic angle finder.
