Airbag light

2000 XJ closing in on 100,000 miles (98500)

This started the other day..when I start up the XJ all the lights go on like usual but the airbag light stays on for a long time then shuts off and will come back on again, then off, then on, over and over untill I obviously shut it off. What causes this and how do you think this light decided to come on.

Maybe it's telling you it might blow up in your face?

there is a recall on airbags take it to a dealer and see if yours has the recall and they will fix it for free
