you're going to have a tough time fitting it all. both tubes have to crossover to the passangers side, past the crossmember to clear the front driveshaft. and probably cross back over in the rear infront of the gas tank. the problem is that with 2 pieces of 2.5" are not going to provide any back pressure, and really arent going to fit, id run the x pipe right at the crossmember

there should be no problem with backpressure, the myth of backpressure being good is that when you reduce the backpressure the engine will run leaner, which isnt a problem if you run an AFR gauge and an adjustable map voltage.
its all in that dang crossmember! i might end up making a custom one or just running the exhaust under it (yeah i know) to get it done.
heres the kicker, can i run sidepipes and make it look good. it couldent be too bad, tid look kind of like rock rails

i tried to run my exhaust under mine....dont even bother trying
what you need to do is cut the crossmember up, and weld in a piece of 4x6 box tubing, that should give you plenty of room to run your exhaust THROUGH the crossemember
yes you could run side pipes and make it look good, but i dont think its worth the work. or are you taking run the exhaust out side the "frame" rail all the way back? theres no room for a muffler unless you run a glass pack

no, a buddy of mine brought up putting the side pipes on last night.

it would either look terrible or badass, im just not sure which. take the heat shields in and powdercoat them black.
good idea on the crossmember, thats probally what i'll do, and if i stick to the current plan, i'll run side exits in front of the rear tires.(ive got this aar-t/a fetish, i want to paint the hood black and put a t/a scoop on it, and aar side stripes) i know, im a douchebag.

I ordered my clifford header yesterday, black ceramic coated. Im not running true duals but i will have dual comming off the header and then into a 2.5" single into my 2.5" cat and out into my 2.25" dynomax cat back.

Or you could check out the custom exhaust that's attached to my 4.6 stroker:
http://www.angelfire.com/my/fan/Exhaust.html
I've even got sound files. :D
Basically it's a Borla header that's had the original 2.25" outlet replaced by a 3.0" outlet, a custom 3.0" downpipe to replace the Borla 2.25" unit, Flowmaster muffler with 3.0" inlet, 2.5" outlet, Magnaflow 2.5" muffler, and Mike Leach 2.5" tailpipe.

Yes, it's a Hesco aluminium head together with Yella Terra 1.7 RR's and Clifford header. Sweeeeeeet combo. Looks like there's a MORE bombproof engine mount in the photo too.

I gave up on the twin turbo idea due to lack of space. Right now I'm waiting on pistons for it- Arias flattops, 12.5:1 compression. I really need to get to work on the re-wire and cage install too but it's so damn hot.

Bummer, was looking forward to seeing that worked out. I hear it's been up over 100º up north lately.............:flame:
