So my heap has a noise and i cant figure out what it is so i thought hey a video would have the noise on it. I have a flowmaster so don't listen to that... there is a noise that sounds like an exhaust clamp rattling but i replaced the entire exhaust system... listen for it... any ideas?:dunce: It happens at times when there is minimal load like as soon as it shifts into fourth gear and i'm just cruising right there at 45.... or when i'm going up a hill in sand and there is no load but when you put a little gas into it, it goes away... if you guys can hear it then that would be awesome and if you guys have any ideas ... even better!

nothing?.... Does anyone even hear it or is it just me?

Karnak peers into his crystal ball.......it is the transfer case shift linkage....next time the noise shows up...pull ever so slightly on the shifter...see if it goes away.....

unfortunately karnak must be looking at the wrong balls...:shhh:
it isn't the linkage.... possibly something driveline related?
i would try to listen to it more but it only does it when it's moving. Well to be more exact I've only heard it moving so makes it hard to listen where it's coming from.

In the video it is kind of hard to tell I hear a click noise about every 1 second as you are passin the camera.

If possible explain the noise a little more.

Does this happen on the road too?

Yeah on the road too. It sounds like...something rattling i can;t explain the noise but it is most audible from seconds 30-31 and 36-37...

yeah it's good just replace it less than a month ago...
guess you gotta know what it sounds like to hear it...

so anyways i got this put on a lift and put it in drive and drove it until it made the noise and someone underneath said that it came from the tc (stethescope) so next question is what would a rattling noise at low load mean coming from the transfer case through all gears?

Possibly a loose chain.
