Jeep decided to not crank back up the other day on the trail...
Turns over fine, just no cranking
Fuel pump turns on, fuel system is good
no fire to plugs though
Rotar button and dist.cap were corroded to hell, replaced them..nothin
Tryed a new coil... nothin

Thinkin somethin in the Distrubutor or ignition relay..what ya'll think?

I always thought that turning over meant cranking, as in the crank shaft turning over. Anyway. I had a similar problem(turned over fine, no start) after doing some work on the Jeep, turned out I had not properly re-connected the CPS to the harness

i hate cps... I despise cps...I will kill cps...

it could also be the balist on the driver side fender it has to orange wires going to it there cheap and its a comon problem for a lot of old cars as well

Could also be the Cam Position Sensor (Pick-up Coil) Deep inside the dist. It and the CPS, Crankshaft Position Sensor create the same symptoms, NO FIRE.

try unplugging the cps, turning the engine over, and the re-connect the cps. If that works, you need a new cps but the one you have may work for a little while longer.
