hotel near miramar

hey guys and gals. planning my road trip to miramar and i need a few ideas for hotels. something decent. like comfort inn or something like that. in the under 70 area. would love to spring for the high dollor but we are talking about a 9 days worth of driving a hotels. my ladies requirements where no bugs. so what ya got.

The Quality Suites on the East side of the 15 at Miramar lists for $129 but San Diego Discount hotels website lists just under $100. They offer a good hot breakfast (eggs, bisquits and gravy, fruit etc.) and a cheesy "happy hour" but the offer of a few free drinks and snacks is better than nothing.

There are a ton of hotels/motels within a 15 min drive of the base, and several within 5 min. You should be able to talk to a MWR rep and they can help you. Of course you can search on www.hotels.com or www.expedia.com or other web search.

aww yes. well the problem with using hotels.com or something is that i do not know how far from base they are. and you see i am not sure howbig san diego is. so i could see my self getting a room that is a decent price but 30 minutes from base.
i am think of the base hotel. we will see.
