I'm looking for a store. I can see their sign in my head but I don't know where exactly it is. It has the word "U-bolts" painted on the side. It is down near Baseline or Guadalupe near maybe Mesa Drive. Anyone know the one and where it is. I need to get some new u-bolts for a 8.25" (custom length) and my bet is a place with "U-bolts" painted on the side might sell....anyone....anyone....yep, U-bolts. Thought it was worth a shot. Let me know if ya'll know. Thanks.

Surprisingly enough Autozone has lift kits with blocks that come with nice long ubolts. Throw away the blocks and use the bolts. Trim them with a grinder once you get it together.

You know what, I've actually done that before. I forgot about that. It was weird too, the only one they had actually fit the 8.25 too. Pretty cool. Thanks for the idea but I still would like to know that store though.

That place would be called Spectrac. Between Country Club and Mesa Dr on Baseline. I got my u-bolts there a few years ago.

The Autozones in E Mesa also sell just the U-bolts for the 8.25 for about $16 a pair. They have 6" and 8" lengths. They are 1/2" so they're thicker then stock, and they are fine threaded rather than the coarse threads that are stock. Should get a lot more clamp-up for the same torque just watch that you don't bend the spring plates.

any suspension shop (Spring) can bend you new ones exactly what you need.

Make sure you know the exact diameter and length before you go in. There are no returns! They will be expensive too but worth it. A.Z. ubolts are crap.

Why expensive? I have mine made here at American Spring, takes em about 5 minutes and decent price, cheaper than buying a set at the local 4 wheel drive shop
