McConnell is McCompton, because it is the ghetto, I mean the palce place looks like a freakin biohazard symbol!

Go for Sechrist, or Reilly.

March 10th, 2007, 00:07
The rooms are actually nicer (bigger) in McConnell then sechrist or rielly. I dont dig the basement level so much becuase of this years batch of partiers (loud a-holes) down there, but the rest of it seems alot nicer then the other dorms.

Fergie
March 10th, 2007, 00:11
Dude, I've been at McC, I've been at Reilly, Sechrist, Tinsley, Cowden, Gabaldon, PRV, and any other dorm on campus.

The only thing good about McConnell was that my buddies room overlooked the smoker's patio, and we had paint ball guns.

Trust me when I say that McConnell is G-H-E-T-T-O

Had some custom made HD U bolts made yesterday to attach down the axle. with the added springs in the packs the liner and the taller leaf perches the stock ones where about 1/4" short

http://www.fototime.com/%7B12331C71-ACC8-4395-9BEC-C7ED6EE27B2D%7D/picture.JPG

the truss for the super 35 is made from 1/4" wall 2 x 4 steel tube, templates where cut from cardboard, then I transfered the shape via sharpie to the steel and free hand cut with the plasma cutter.

Front control arm drop brackets went on in about 3 hours total with braces and arms

Leave all the bolts loose, until all arms and bolts are in place, this cant be stressed enough!

It fell together fairly easy by using this method:

1: install the main bracket by the main bolt and spacer

2: place the support brace in place buy dropping the TC crossmember just enough to get it to slid in between then use the jack and crossmember to hold the brace in place but loose:

http://www.fototime.com/%7BCBFABD88-5284-4A46-861E-A99DC1EC5EBC%7D/picture.JPG

Now install the upper bolts that retain the brace to the bracket (the location of the adjuster you removed and will be installing with the lower arm)

finger tight on the nuts is good bolts on the inside of the bracket nuts on the brace side

3: Drill out to 1/2" and then install the upper brace bolt, spacer

4: slip the upper arm support bracket over the main bolt on the bracket and washer and nut, about 1 turn on the nut only. Now slip the bracket over the upper bolt. this was tight on mind and actually had to thread each upper bolt through the bracket. (using the stock bolts this would not be an issue) attach washer and nut loosely to the upper bolt.

5: Install the control arms upper first, then the lower

In the pic you can see the upper shock mount bar that attaches to the rear seatbelt bolts and the sway bar bracket locations. I will layout the lower shock mounts tomorrow.

I also installed the RE drop brackets and braces.

The entire install of the arms, brackets and braces took about 3 hours

some tips:

Pre drill out all the holes in the brackets and braces with the correct size drill bit. This will make alignment 100% easier. also slightly slot the brace bolt holes.

on one of my brackets the the opening for the lower control arm was abut 1/8" too narrow to fit the stock adjuster and the bushing in.

What I did on both sides was to remove the adjuster, set it over the control arm end and install together, this made it a no hassle job to put the arms on.

Well yep made it to the trail. developed a rearend squeal about cottonwood, ran the lead the trail, broke a front ujoint and fixed it finished the day and the squeal was worse, Adam along with us twisted his rear DS in half about 100 yards from the end of the trail. got everyone out and on the road back home, the Front DS on Adams looked like a rainbow and our rear axle issue we called AAA and hitched a ride back to Flagstaff,.............A GREAT DAY!

Tow to the house if you hve the gold version. about 85.00 a year and covers 4 tows per card a years for up to 100 mile tow. well worth it
