Well we are trailering two xj's out to AZ for two weeks in may. I'm in the process of going from 33"s w/ locked dana 30 and locked 8.8 to a 44 high pinion and 9" both locked. Now the question i have is tires. I'm looking at running 37x12.50 15r MTRs. Do you guys think i'm asking for trouble with this setup? Both front and rear will have alloy usa shafts and i'm also putting in a 231/dana 300 doubler behind an aw4 tranny.

I've also put the jeep on a diet and it currently weighs around 3800lbs... with more to lose... but then to add the bigger axles and tires. I also wheel pretty light. i've had the jeep in tellico 7 times up every trail but 7 and to river rock twice (knock on wood) and have not broken anything but a tie rod. I have blown 3 dana 30 shafts screwing around at home in florida.

Any advice ? this will be the first time out west so i'm excited and scared to death !!!

thanks
Adam

I know he posted up about trails but i'm curious as to what tire people typically recommend for Az wheeling. I will need to buy tires soon and i want to make the best purchase possible !! Do you like 37 mtrs or should i think about/ look at another tire?

thanks a lot
