This is fact, we just got 90,000 miles out of a set of douglas touring tires from walmart on my wifes car. This was by accident, I havent rotated the tires for awhile, her father did. I knew they were coming due for summer, but havnt paid attention, one was worn pretty badly. One had been replaced and had around 75,000 give or take. They were only 60000 rated! When the wife came home Thursday night I was sitting outside and when she pulled up, I glanced down and Said "WOW!" So, the next mroning I called the tire shop by her work and got a set of tires put on that afternoon. Never flats(except for piece of steel) or even low pressure. replaced with cheap firestone Lemans brand. Hopefully same luck again :) Although, the tire shop / service center found a loose tie rod end, intake gasket leak, broke a stud bolt, and tried to over charge a woman with no vehicle knowledge. Luckily, her husband (me) has a cell phone at all times, makes his own hours, and made the call back the shop about dont make repairs! Wanted to charge $50 for the stud! I said, I didnt tell you to break it, or fix it. No, $28 charge anyway. Now I am looking for a good mechanic or brave saturday to change some parts. Long post, I know, but needed to vent. Thanks for listening. See ya!

My dad got 100k out of his Bridgestone Duler AT's on his 01 Silverado z71. They still weren't worn all the way down. The only problems he had was with cupping (lots of highway driving)

I've got over 60,000 miles on a set of bfg AT's.
Anything BFG is a good tire.

Don't know what they were but, Grandpa got 95,xxx out of the factory tires on his F150. He maintains that truck religiously.

I used to work with someone that bought a new 88 Dodge Dakota and got 160,000 miles on the original Michelin tires. Then he went with Goodyears and only got 90,000 miles. He then got Kelly tires and got rid of the truck at 299,000 miles. He did mainly highway driving, always drove at the speed limit, kept tires properly inflated, rotated and aligned. Personally, I would have stayed with the Michelins.

I have had a few sets of BFG and was very happy with all of them. Now I am running Mickey Thompsons with about 8000 on them and they seam to be doing pretty good, except for the giant stick I picked up some where in Michigan and had to replace the tire when I got to Colorado.

WOW!!! 90K would be 3 times what we get out of a set on our Volvo, I just had to replace the tires which had only 27K on them. All the tires in the size I need (234/45/17) have no warrantee...stupid Z rated tires anyway.
