What you guy's running and whats your opinions on the best set up, I know some of the rockers are their weakest at the very ends. This is due to the pinch seam mount not being long enough. I've been looking at the JCR, Warn and Hanson units.................
 
Ridgidco makes some as well. They are mounted at 45 degrees for added clearance and strength

I've got a full set of JCR bumpers and sliders and I'm in Norfolk. Let me know and we can get together and you can see them installed first-hand.


I'd certainly recommend them, but to be honest, I haven't seen many of the alternatives myself, so there might be better out there... But I am very happy with the quality of the parts I got from them.
 
This has never been covered before. I dont think the search would pull up any info about sliders.
I think you might possibly be the first person to want sliders. :eyes:

I say try your hand at building your own. It isnt that hard, its fun, and if you cant get it to look right then just by some, but at least you tried.
Thats how I started, and know I am making a lot of money making them for other people. It has become my full time job. Just try trust me.
 
If you got the tools, or know someone who does then I have to agree with GermanXJ and say build your own. If not then I would go with AJ, I ran a set of his for a year and probably beat on them more in that year then most people do in 10, They where one of the few pieces of my Jeep that where still strait!
 
the stiffner/slider combo? be a good investment

This has been covered so many times its not even funny. I searched for "slider" and came up with 410 threads. Not all of them have anything to do with sliders, but come on. Search. It took me, according to NAXJA .13 seconds to search.

Those are some that I picked that looked like they might help.
And so GermanXJ doesnt pick on me any more, I have AJs and love them. Helped me tons of times, and with the Super ones, the extra tubing doubles as a step when your in mud or water.
