having problems with my 1982 evinrude 115. i'm having a hard time finding any good tech online if anyone knows of the naxja of the ouboard world please let me know. looking for any good info on this engine so i can at least set the points and adjust the carbs
well i guess i'll throw out the problem to see if anyone know's. the engine runs great top end not a sputter or fault once it gets below about half throttle it sounds as if one or two pistons are not fireing or misfiring. plugs are new. I have not cleaned or set the points because i have no clue the proper gap to set them at.

if they suck, how come there's so many really-old ones still running? I got a little 6hp from 1972, it just won't die. can run it all day long. not much faster than rowing but it's just a wee lad :) Only part that ever broke is a fuel filter cap that I cracked putting it back on wrong.
if you end up needing parts, try ishopmarine.com goes back to '68, good prices, and a very complete selection. you can almost build the 72 from the ground up with this site. I got a prop, shear pins, filter, and the filter cap all from this place, quick too.

My former '75 Johnson 70 hp had an electronic ignition of sorts... I think that is pretty standard across the board... no points that I am aware of.

thanks guys keep it comming. i'm not in the market for a new motor i bought the boat for 850 not bad for a center console 19' with a running motor. i can pull all four plugs (one at a time) and it won't die. i belive it is a carb prob as it is getting spark to each cylinder. anybody have photos or writeups of carb assembly/repair?
